Quarterbacks

1. Trevor Lawrence
Clemson
Height: 6’6″ • Weight: 213
Trevor Lawrence has lived up to the hype and is the runaway top quarterback. Lawrence is the complete package with great mobility, arm talent, and mechanics. It’ll be up to the Jaguars to surround him with a strong supporting cast to ensure his success.

2. Justin Fields
Ohio State
Height: 6’3″ • Weight: 227
Justin Fields seems to have fallen victim to prospect fatigue among analysts. But it’s difficult to ignore the many traits that make him a potential franchise quarterback. He pairs his accuracy with some of the best ball placement I’ve seen in this class. To prove worthy of a top 5 pick, Fields will need to improve his feel for pressure and quicken his ability to read defenses.

3. Zach Wilson
BYU
Height: 6’2″ • Weight: 214
His size and injury history may concern teams. But Wilson has a laundry list of traits that make him a candidate to be the second quarterback taken. Zach Wilson is an athletic quarterback with elite arm talent. What separates Wilson from many young quarterbacks is his veteran-like ability to process defenses.

4. Trey Lance
North Dakota State
Height: 6’3″ • Weight: 224
Trey Lance is a raw prospect with sky-high upside. Lance’s mobility is on immediate display at NDSU, and his sheer strength allows him to run over defenders. He’s a strong-armed passer who has a nice feel for pressure, but he will need more consistency with his accuracy and ball placement.

5. Mac Jones
Alabama
Height: 6’3″ • Weight: 217
Mac Jones will face questions on whether he’s a product of the talent around him. But someone had to make those throws, and Jones did just that with accuracy, touch, and by delivering the most catchable ball in this year’s class. While not incredibly mobile, he moves well in the pocket and is quick in his decision-making.
